Favorite moment: The opening song of the A7X show! @
Opening act(s): Svendust & Three Days Grace @
Great show, great seats & great friends. With our hotel only two blocks from the venue, the commute was minimal. The entrance was easy to find and getting in was only a little confusing as there were two lines. One for the floor and the other for seats. Once in the right line we were able to walk right in.
We arrived about a half hour before show time. Found our seats. They were about twenty feet off the left side of the stage. We were almost too close, but the view was impeccable.
The staff was very friendly. and the place was relatively clean considering this was a Heavy metal show was copious amounts of beer and other liquid refreshments being consumed.
With Sevendust opening we knew this show would be great. They were energetic and played a very tight set. They get better every time I see them.
Three Days Grace was on next. They were very good. I'm not a big fan of their music, but as entertainment value they were right up there. They were able to carry the momentum of Sevendust.
Avenged Sevenfold were over the top. inner acting with the crowd and just knocked out of the park. That is until the encore. When they came out and played three of their slow songs. I would have preferred to have had them in the middle with some smash your face in the stage metal to end it. I might have gone out for a little more partying instead of going to bed. But with that said, I'll be there when they come back to town!
